Commercial Greenhouse Structures & Equipment
For over 60 years, Harnois designs and manufactures engineered commercial greenhouse structures built specifically for Canadian U.S. and Mexican growers. Our greenhouse structures are built for durability, energy efficiency, and scalable growth; making us a leading choice for commercial greenhouse solutions.
No matter your project, we’ll work with you to find the best solution. Our Ovaltech series is an outstanding choice for growers seeking an independent, versatile growing structure designed for durability and optimal crop production. (Width of up to 42ft)
For those needing a structure for high-density commercial production, our Luminosa and Vermax series are ideal for high-density, commercial multi-crop production due to its large, modular structure and efficient environmental control.
Whether for vegetable, flower, or a garden center, Harnois’ commercial greenhouse structures offer customizable solutions to maximize efficiency and profitability.

Commercial Greenhouse Structures Manufacturer
We offer a wide range of commercial greenhouse structures to suit your needs:
Spotlight: Customer Stories
“We got specs on the weight rating, snow load, what the structures could handle – we needed freestanding greenhouses that could host a wide variety of crops. Other companies hadn’t done the math. With Harnois, the certainty was there.”
Andrew Plantinga, Facility Manager, and Henry Contreras, Continuous Improvement Manager, led the search for commercial greenhouse structures manufacturer based in British Columbia capable of giving Van Belle the environmental control their outdoor beds couldn’t provide against the region’s variable spring weather. Contreras compared technical specifications across several Canadian manufacturers before landing on Harnois, drawn to clearer invoices, faster turnaround times, and better parts availability than anywhere else.
“Once I knew what the growers needed, I started approaching different greenhouse manufacturers in Canada, requesting technical specifications so we could compare and make the best decision,” explains Contreras. “Harnois was ahead at every step. Even if it wasn’t the cheapest option, as a full package, it was by far the best decision for us.”
Whatever your needs, we design your commercial greenhouse structures that’s just right for you – on time and on budget!
Oval Steel Tube is the Perfect Choice, Here is Why
The strength of Harnois’ engineering relies on close collaboration between its engineers and an experienced team of experts. Together, they create specific commercial greenhouse structures for each project, balancing the requirements of the projected crop, the site’s climate constraints, and the grower’s financial expectations.
At Harnois, our exclusive oval tube framing isn’t just stronger; it’s also more durable. Stronger by design, oval tubes allow for fewer arches, less steel, and faster installation; saving you time, labor, and materials.
The result? High-performing commercial greenhouse structures that deliver real-world ROI from day one.
Stronger by Design, Brighter Greenhouse
Oval tubes offer superior load resistance with less steel, resulting in increased strength, reduced material usage, and enhanced efficiency. A stronger tube allows you to space arches farther apart, providing more open growing space and fewer shaded areas.
More Air Volume, More Stability
The wider and taller profile increases internal air volume, helping maintain more stable temperatures for your crops.
Gothic Arch = Peak Light Performance
The optimized roof angle, combined with high-performance polyethylene, delivers up to 90–91% light transmission. The steep slope also helps shed snow efficiently and minimize condensation, protecting both your structure and your plants.
Durability
Oval steel tubes are engineered to withstand harsh weather conditions, resist wear and tear, and provide unmatched long-term protection.
Low Maintenance
With galvanized structural steel, you minimize maintenance efforts and expenses for years to come.
Quick Installation
Fewer arches streamline the installation process, significantly reducing build times and minimizing disruptions to your operations.
Harnois backed by 60 years of Expertise
With six decades of experience and over 5,000 projects completed, Harnois understands the unique needs of every growers. Our commercial greenhouse structures are designed to reflect your goals, combining strength, flexibility, and efficiency to support your success.
Design
The 45-degree gothic roof angle, combined with high-quality plastic films, optimizes light quality by filtering specific wavelengths beneficial to plant development while also improving internal climate stability for more consistent growing conditions. A higher gable increases the volume available for hot air accumulation, improving climate conditions at plant level, while an under-gutter height of up to 20 ft adds further internal volume, enabling better climate control and improved energy efficiency.
Structure
Our structures comes with drilling performed on the neutral axis to preserve structural strength while minimizing on-site drilling and self-drilling screws through bolted, swedged-tube assemblies. Thanks to the superior strength of Harnois steel structures, fewer structural elements are required in the roof, reducing shading and allowing more natural light to reach the crop, directly contributing to improved photosynthesis and higher yields.
Covering
Your greenhouse covering matters as much as its structure. It determines how much light reaches your crops, how heat and humidity are managed inside, and how long your investment lasts before it needs replacing. At Harnois, every covering is chosen and installed to get the most out of your structure, whether you go with a high-performance polyethylene like EVO2 AC, offering up to 90-91% light transmission, a polycarbonate panel, or a Vermax glass greenhouse.
Quality
Harnois structural steel has a minimum elastic limit of 50,000 psi, versus a standard 33,000 psi, giving better predictability of steel’s response to wind and snow loads. This steel is protected with Harnois Galvalume (40+ years) or Harnois Powercoat (50+ years) galvanization, well beyond the standard G90 coating (15 years), and assembled with industrial-quality zinc-nickel coated hardware that ensures durable assembly and corrosion protection, resisting a minimum of 1200 hours in salt spray testing (ASTM B117) compared to the market standard of 500 hours.
